Dr James Pittman

Consultant Anaesthetist

James Pittman trained at St Thomas' and Guys Hospital, London and qualified in 1990. His Anaesthetic and Intensive Care Medicine training was predominantly undertaken  in and around the Bristol region. He spent eighteen months as a Visiting Professor at Duke University Medical Centre, North Carolina, USA before being appointed as a consultant in Anesthesia and  Intensive care medicine in Exeter in 2002. He is currently Head of the School of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine training scheme for the Southwest region.
